An ever growing number of Indian customers are opting in favour of Terrot circular knitting machines. As one of the world’s leading circular knitting machine manufacturers, Terrot considers the Indian market to hold enormous potential for growth.
200 knitting technology experts and Terrot customers from the main centres of the country’s budding knitting industry took up a joint invitation issued by Terrot Strickmaschinen GmbH and the company’s agent in India, Voltas Limited, to attend a series of technical seminars staged in Ludhiana, Delhi and Tirupur.
Mr. Sudhir Sharma, head of the Voltas Textile Machinery Division, opened the seminar, welcoming the guests jointly on behalf of Terrot and Voltas. Mr. Sharma’s address provided an interesting and highly positive insight into the development of the knitting industry in India over the past three years, highlighting the optimum outline conditions existing in the country for on-going positive further development right across the whole of the Indian textile industry.
Dr. Wolfgang Bauer, Technical Director of Terrot Strickmaschinen GmbH, also addressed the seminar on behalf of the Terrot General Management. Although Terrot’s CEO Thomas Archner was unable to attend in person, in a recorded video message he provided an impressive outline of the values traditionally upheld by Terrot: Total customer care, coupled with outstanding quality and precision in the development and manufacture of Terrot circular knitting machines. Thomas Archner emphasized the growing significance of India as one of the world’s leading textile strongholds, and paid tribute to the economic development and progress achieved by the country over recent years. He expressed the company’s gratitude to all Terrot customers and in particular to the Voltas team for their excellent achievement in organizing and preparing the seminars, and finished by emphasizing how much he was looking forward to meeting up with all the company’s customers at the Mumbai Trade Fair in December.
During the subsequent presentation of machine exhibits for the ITMA in Mumbai, Terrot’s Head of Marketing Klaus Kunde made special reference to the application improvements which have been taking place in both electronically and mechanically controlled circular knitting machines. One main focus of the seminar was a presentation of Terrot’s wide range of new and further developments. Further developments at Terrot are always aimed towards addressing calls for enhanced operating convenience and optimized machine efficiency. The “Terrot e-book” presented by Dr. Bauer provided all the guests present with a sound insight into circular knitting machine technology.
Customers and guests alike demonstrated an overwhelming and lively interest in all the seminars staged at the event. In the floor discussions, customers were quick to express their appreciation of the service and particularly the on-site support provided by the members of Volta’s technician team, who in turn can call on Terrot at any time if ever sound support is required.
During the cocktail dinner held afterwards for the guests, all those present made the most of the opportunity to exchange news and views and to enjoy lively conversation with the other members of the Terrot family.
