At the 22nd Tekstil Makinesi in Istanbul, Turkey from February 2 – 6, 05 Terrot Strickmaschinen GmbH took the opportunity to exhibit its products and services to a broad-based trade public made up of potential and existing customers from Turkey and the Eurasian region. The company exhibited a range of continuously further developed circular knitting machine models on a stand area totalling 200 square metres. The exhibits and applications demonstrated at the show met with an enthusiastic response from visitors and culminated in a gratifying level of sales.
Attracting a particular degree of interest at the fair was the Terrot machine model UCC548, 38“, E20 with electronic needle selection. This machine is capable of manufacturing mattress cover fabric in a wide range of different fabric weights and yarn types with outstanding economy. Its production output corresponds to appr. 20 mattress covers per hour in a fabric width of up to 270 cm. The spacer fabric samples made up into mattress covers for maximized lying comfort met with a lively degree of interest among visitors to the stand.
Another highlight was the latest development of the Terrot wide winding device type S296BW, 32“, E28. The further development work invested in this tried and tested wide winding device was directed towards improving production reliability and optimizing operating convenience. By re-engineering the machine doors, accessibility to the knitting head has been improved. The newly designed cutting knife for cutting through the fabric tube can be resharpened inside the machine as required without problems. Three easily accessible manual levers guarantee precise adjustment and easy operability when changing fabric qualities. An optimized wear-protected yarn feeder coupled with an absolutely chamfer-free edge during fabric takedown provide a guarantee of top-class quality.
Terrot provided a convincing demonstration of innovation working to benefit the customer with a further development of its motorized yarn feeding system TFM 100. Every yarn feeder in the circular knitting machine can be individually controlled via a central terminal. The yarn quantities are stored on disk, ensuring fast, fault-free pattern reproduction. Day-to-day benefits working with the TFM 100 in producing operation include improved operating convenience and a further reduction of resetting times / greater knitting machine economy. A powered elastane yarn feeder type TFME 100 is also available.
Polar fleece for sportswear and blankets – plush for pullovers – highly elastic elastane velour – all just from one knitting machine type. The patterning possibilities and degree of application flexibility demonstrated by the Terrot SP145, 30“, E20 for maximum customer benefit met with an enthusiastic response from visitors to the show. A selection of sinkers from 1.7 to 3.1 mm is available for different pile heights. The wide-ranging application possibilities available were demonstrated using the example of polar fleece blankets made of PE microfibre yarn.
Terrot also demonstrated a new generation of machine frames featuring optimized drive technology using the example of the type RH216-L, 18“, E18 for underwear production. With its simplified handling, the clearly arranged machine frame enables unhindered monitoring of the untreated fabric and easy removal of the fabric bale from the machine. The Quick Change device takes care of simple, user-friendly gauge changeover.

A state-of-the-art frame concept coupled with pre-manufactured modular elements permits fast machine conversion and helps improve efficiency on the knitting factory floor. The re-engineered Terrot fleece machine SBF296, 32“, E20 is characterized by an improved fabric quality coupled with enhanced production reliability. The optimized needle and sinker movements produce top-class plating results using wide-ranging different yarns. |
