The Itma Asia textile machine trade fair in Singapore, which recently ended, was an extremely successful one for Terrot Strickmaschinen GmbH of Stuttgart, Germany.
Innovative, top-quality circular knitting technology was represented by the world's finest gauge E 54. The especially light and super-fine single stitch fabrics of the further-developed Model S296 with a wide winding frame were presented to the international public for the first time. The fabrics, which are characterised by a silky drape and, depending on the yarn used, a transparent appearance, enable Terrot customers to enter into the exclusive markets and the use of new application technologies.
With its high level of flexibility and economy, the UCC548 electronic Double Jersey Circular Knitting Machine, with a 38-inch diameter, meets the demanding user requirements of the special market for mattress cover fabrics. The elastic cover fabrics can considerably minimise creasing of the covers. And the laying comfort is further optimised with expanded knitting technology, e.g. spacers. On exhibit was a product with improved function produced in combination with Lenzing Tencel yarns. Simple, user-friendly machine handling guarantees a new, machine platform accessible from all sides.
By combining coloured stripes with up to 12 yarn colours and electronic pattern selection, the exhibited Model SCC4F548 offers the latest market and fashion trends. A multicolour software supports simple pattern preparation and guarantees fast implementation of pattern ideas. Additional optimisation of the cylinder cam race and further improvements to needle and sinker guides guarantee first-class plating results when using Elastan yarns. In the area of the machine, stand visitors showed a particular interest positioned, ready-to-wear clothing articles.
Rib or interlock fabric, functional clothing or sports underwear, the Model I3P572 has proven to be economical and reliable in production in worldwide use. Of special interest to customers was the exhibition machine demonstrating the production of functional sports underwear. Expanded pattern options contain 3 needle paths in the rib dial cam and 4 needle paths in the cylinder cam race.
Individually controlled motorised yarn feeders were shown as a technically and economically practical alternative to mechanical feed wheel drives. These simplify machine operation, minimise article conversion times and guarantee the exact reproduction of all articles produced.
We would like to thank all the Terrot customers, interested persons and specialist visitors we were able to welcome to our trade fair stand. |
