The fair took place from 1 to 4 June 2007. More than 1400 visitors from 20 countries attended and got an overview of the latest developments in the industry.

Terrot was present at the fair featuring some innovations.
Special interest received our Double-Jersey machine UCC 548 for the production of knitted mattress material.. The knitting head of this machine is equipped with a special technology which assures the special knitting requirements of the mattress fabric. This technology provides the well-known Terrot –UCC548 fabric quality for light fabric-adjustments of approx. 180 g/m² and for particularly heavy mattress fabrics including and over 500 g/m². Within this wide scope of weight the fabrics-settings will be operated in an absolutely save and clean way.
The special technical equipment of the UCC 548 which defines the success of the machine are as follows:
- a high power bench for fabric bales up to a 105 cm diameter
- a special fabric take-up with 2 take-up motors to wind the voluminous mattress fabric up the fabric bale without creases.
- an integrated taking-mechanism for the fabric bales
- drop cam systems for 2-track dial needles to ensure an easy change of knit construction are changeable from outside, without removing the dial segment
- the needle selection with a selectable 3-way-technique situated in the cylinder provides knitted fabrics on needle-positions "MISS-TUCK-KNITT"
- a novel knitting head with a cam system especially designed for knitting-specific requirements of the mattress-knit structures.
The machine is available as a special version for mattress fabrics with a 38” diameter and 60 feeders and also with a 42” diameter with 66 feeders. With this scope of diameters, you can completely cover the standardized mattress sizes that are commercially available as well as the internationally appearing over-sizes.
This technology within the UCC548 family of machines for the production of mattress fabrics enabled Terrot to further consolidate its leading position in China with respect to mattress machines.
This year’s ShanghaiTex was a success forTerrot. Our sales team was able to close numerous sales during the fair.
