From November 11th to 14th, 2008 the new edition of the Textile Machinery International
Show has taken place at Costa Salguero Center. About 150 companies from several
countries exhibited their latest technological innovations for the textile sector.
Terrot was among the exhibitors and we presented a machine model which meets all
the special interest of the market.

Terrot Single Striper machines with 4- or 6- colour stripers and up to 4 needle
tracks provide decisive advantage in production and huge application variety.
Single Jersey fabric with perfect Elastane plating on highest production figures
due to the newly designed lycra yarn feeder. With this method accuracy plating conditions
are achieved even by using very fine Elastane yarn in 22 dtex.
Diameter in inch: 30
Gauge E: 24
Number of feeders: 48
Machine speed/ RPM: 28/32 (Speed up Function)
Number of needle tracks: 2
Knitting structure: Single-Jersey
TERROT invented the striper technology for knitting machines in 1950. We will now
introduce a 4-colour Single-Jersey Striper with up to 4 cam tracks. While knitting
large sequences in a single colour, the machine will automatically speed-up by about
15%, thereby increasing productivity. Thanks to this „Terrot Speed-up Function“
the speed of 28 rpm will be increased to around 32 rpm which results in a production
output unknown from other striper machines in the market. The long tradition of
TERROT as a leading manufacturer of high performance striper machines will thus
be continued by this introduction. The unique Terrot technique with independent
drapers and scissors will also guarantee unmatched security in yarn changing of
all synthetic and spun yarn qualities.
With a cautious optimism Terrot came to Simatex, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The economic
conditions suggested a restrained propensity to invest in the run-up to the fair.
However Terrots expectations to the Simatex were already fulfilled with the sale
of the exhibition machine. Compared to the most exhibitors for circular knitting
machines which exhibited primarily standard machines for the production of Single-Jersey
fabrics Terrot presented its advancement of the striper machine for 4 or 6 colour
striper fabrics and met thereby the latest trend of the fashion industry in particular.
Already the first day of the fair was dominated by a positive mood at the exhibition
booth. The great demand for Terrot circular knitting machines as well as numerous
new customer contacts encourages our expectations to further planned investments
in 2009.
